Growing up in Whitefield, Bangalore, I spent most of my childhood riding bikes into the woods and catching crabs from the nearby lakes. I was comfortable exploring the outdoors from a very young age and I started climbing at the age of 10. Needless to say that adventure has always been a part of me.

 

I graduated from Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering with a degree in Medical Electronics. My interest in biomedical research took me to Australia, where I finished my Masters in Biomedical Engineering from The University of New South Wales. On returning to India, I worked in an R&D setup developing image processing and pattern recognition algorithms for cancer detection and biometrics.

 

The boredom of a desk job in a tech startup got to me and the next years were those of exploration, which found me in media, and advertising. I then started FeetOffGround in 2012 with the intention to promote active outdoor lifestyles in India. I have been designing and building rock climbing walls ever since.

 

I'm passionate about music, and photography. I enjoy singing, and playing the guitar and drums. In my free time,  you’re quite likely to spot me slacklining, jamming or building things from scrap metal.
